Imaging in Bioresources
Imaging in Bioresources
Bioresources houses a comprehensive small animal imaging suite.
The following imaging modalities are available:
IVIS Spectrum
- IVIS spectrum offers optical imaging technology to facilitate non-invasive longitudinal monitoring of disease progression, cell trafficking and gene expression patterns in live animals.
- Features: Bioluminescence, fFuorescence (including spectral unmixing), Cherenkov imaging
Computed Tomography (CT)
CT Bruker SkyScan 1176
- High Performance in vivo micro-CT scanner for preclinical research. Imaging of a wide range of samples (9, 18 or 36µm resolution).
- Physiological monitoring system uses breathing/chest movement to trigger scans.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Bruker Icon 1T
- Permanent magnet bench-top system for preclinical MR imaging. Physiological monitoring for live animals available.
- Applications: Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, Molecular and Anatomical imaging, Body composition, Molecular and anatomical imaging, body composition
PET/ SPECT Bruker Albira
- Pet enables quantification of radiotracer distribution in live animals and tissue. Albira’s detector system uses a patented combination of single crystal detectors and advanced electronics to deliver extremely high resolution, quantitative, and accurate PET.
- SPECT capability with a special resolution of up to 0.5 mm.
